The leaves begin to fall
Right to the cold earth
The wind howling
I lie awake at night
Thinking of a better time
The leaves
lie on the ground
The wind no longer disturbing
The cold is almost unbearable
I stand there thinking
The wind blows uncontrollably
The cold is not so bad
The leaves stay piled around my feet
My thoughts lie there
I am still thinking
I lie near the ground
The leaves provide a cushion
The wind whips around me
Leaving a cold chill to run down my spine
Am I left thinking
alone again
I am no longer cold
I am no longer thinking
The leaves no longer
Lie there
The wind no longer blows
I really liked how you kept at the theme of being alone, and I feel like lots of people can relate to that.
